King Hooper Mansion, 8 Hooper Street, Marblehead, MA
Artists from throughout New England are featured in the historic 1728 mansion that is Marblehead Arts, in the New England Regional Exhibit entitled Variations. Stop by the opening and see what makes the diversity of our region so special.
My work in this exhibit includes two ways of working with cold wax. The first is an abstract cold wax and oil painting, "Listening for that Something" and the other is a digital abstract piece "Drift Past the Flowers," inspired by our New England seacoast, mounted and sealed in layers of cold wax medium, creating a subtle hand-crafted sheen.
I am really excited to be back painting and creating in full swing. The past few years have been sporadic; moving three times has been incredibly disruptive to the creative process. For me, anyway. I am so happy to be in a creative place, and look forward to sharing my new work!
